As a proud second-generation storyteller, my passion for education runs deep, rooted in my lifelong experiences both as a teacher's kid and as an educator myself. I have dedicated my career to nurturing young minds in various roles, including Lead Daycare Teacher and Daycare Director. In partnership with a licensed teacher who boasts over 30 years of experience serving the Kansas City urban core, we work tirelessly to offer the best educational experience possible for our children. Our collaborative approach ensures a dynamic learning environment where each child's unique potential can flourish.

In addition to my unwavering commitment to education, I take immense pride in my heritage as an enrolled member of the Quapaw Nation, Cherokee Nation, and Seneca Cayuga Nation. My journey has also included serving as a powwow princess for the Intertribal Indian Society of Greater Kansas City from 2003 to 2004, providing me with invaluable insights and a profound appreciation for Indigenous cultures. These rich experiences profoundly influence my storytelling and teaching methods, allowing me to create a nurturing, engaging, and culturally responsive environment that resonates with all learners.

Currently, I am furthering my culinary expertise by pursuing a 2-year culinary arts degree, with a special focus on Indigenous cuisines, which I have passionately cooked and cherished throughout my life. For the past three years, I have been actively working in the community as an Indigenous chef, teaching cooking classes at the Kansas City Museum and engaging with various schools across the Kansas City area. This blending of culinary skills and educational practices reflects my deep commitment to sharing and preserving Indigenous food traditions while fostering a love for cooking among the next generation.
